Train in Dublin to teach English

Will I be able to teach in Ireland with a Trinity Cert. TESOL?

 

In Ireland you need to hold a third level degree and a recognised TEFL qualification--such as the Trinity Cert. TESOL from ECM--in order to be allowed to teach English in any officially recognised English language teaching organisation. Recognition of these private sector schools is run in Ireland by ACELS / QQI on behalf of the Department of Education. ECM is recognised as an English language teaching organisation by ACELS / QQI, and only recognised / accredited organisations are able to run recognised teacher training courses--such as the Trinity Cert. TESOL.
