Is the Trinity Cert. a TEFL Course?

 

TEFL, Teaching English as a Foreign Language, is an umbrella term for the practice of teaching English to people from other language backgrounds, either in their own country or abroad. The term is sometimes confused with TOEFL, the Test of English as a Foreign Language, or even with the cookware brand Tefal. There is no single international standard for TEFL courses so the quality of the courses that use the label can vary widely. This course prepares people to teach English to speakers of other languages, and so falls under into the general category of TEFL, but is run at a higher standard than most other courses currently available.
