Why is real teaching practice important?

 

Teaching is a practical skill, and you really only learn by doing it. While practical experience is the most difficult part of the course to organise, only those courses that give you the chance to teach real learners while being observed by an experienced trainer truly equip you to teach. Six hours of real teaching practice is the minimum requirement needed for TESOL / TEFL courses to provide an appropriate level of teacher training.
